If you’re looking for somewhere to escape to that offers peace and tranquility this is the place! Be prepared to bring food etc with you as there is one pub and one tea room. The nearest town is 15 minutes away. Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend great place to rest and relax.

A good place to stay

Perfect - just what we were looking for. Quiet but easy distance to the renowned Square and Compass where there was live music during our stay.

We stayed with our dog and enjoyed many walks with such beautiful views. A very relaxing holiday.

We found the cottage very comfortable and fairly well equipped, and the location is just idyllic! We loved the garden particularly and sat out in the glorious weather, enjoying the peace and quiet, for breakfast and most evenings with a glass of wine, Heaven! A little gem perfectly situated in my favourite part of the world. Clean, comfortable, easy with my dog. Multiple beautiful daily walks from the cottage. We had a fabulous week and I hope to be able to go back soon. Communication with Corfe and Purbeck Holidays was excellent.

A perfectly positioned little cottage, right in the heart of the most lovely of walking stretches along the Dorset coastal path. We really appreciated the milk and biscuits left as welcoming gifts. Tracey was brilliant to communicate with, and helped out with little glitches. The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy, well equipped and warm and cosy. In a such a popular and busy little village it is great to have a parking space right by the front door.

We had a lovely time in Worth Matravers. A well equipped, comfortable and perfectly located property to explore the beautiful Dorset coastline.

Worth Matravers has to be one of the prettiest villages in England, with beautiful walks and very dog friendly. The Thatch is set in totally peaceful grounds in the centre of the village, It has everything you need for either a relaxing holiday or an activity holiday. The cottage is ideally placed for hikes and runs on the coastal path. The village is cute and people are genuinely nice. We had a great time in The Thatch. The cottage itself is clean and spacious (we were 2 + dog). We had no cell reception but the Wifi is plenty fast. We had a wonderful time in The Thatch!

This little gem of a cottage is in the beautiful Village of Worth Matravers An ideal place to stay if you love breathtaking scenery, enjoy walking, or just relaxing. There is a very popular pub within walking distance called The Square & Compass which serves great beers and pasties a worth while visit. We had a lovely time hope to visit again soon.

Had an enjoyable stay at The Thatch in Worth Matravers. We were very lucky with the weather for the time of the year we booked. Our dog absolutely loved the location, fantastic walks across the fields which took their toll on me, not that he cared about that much! It was nice to come back to the light & airy accommodation and the under floor heating was nice in the bathroom. Loved the little seating area outside, shielded from the wind by the surrounding walls it became a bit of a sun trap at times during the day, can only imagine what its like in summer evenings or in fact breakfast time. I'm glad we took the opportunity to stay at The Thatch, it was a good jumping off point for the days we didn't go walking.

Ideal location to explore Purbeck. Spotlessly clean, lovely quiet village location. Near pub and easy walk to coast. Lovely cliff-top walks nearby. Wi-fi fine.

Such a perfect location for walking the SW Coast Path. So much to do and see within a short drive too. Loved Corfe Castle and the Blue Pool. Lovely village with great pub and shop. The Thatch was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.
