We offer a range of properties to suit all age groups, budgets and tastes. Our cottages are comfortably furnished and fully equipped for the perfect self-catering holiday.
Changeover days are generally Fridays and Saturdays and standard bookings are for 7 or 14 nights. We can accept short breaks during low season and when we have availability close to the arrival date.
Directions to your cottage are contained in your confirmation email. You will receive a separate confirmation with the details for the key safe. Generally the arrival time is 3.30pm and departure time is 10am.
Bed linen and towels will be provided in all of our cottages and are included in the cottage rental price.
The cost of gas & electricity is included in the price of your holiday rental.
The arrangements for heating each cottage are shown in the property description and on the Availability of Extras Page. Most cottages are centrally heated and some have Night Storage Heating. This is included in the price.
Most of our properties have Wi-Fi, please check the property descriptions. Wi-Fi is offered free of charge but please note that download speeds may vary by location, as can Wi-Fi signal coverage within a property. Guests must not use the premises’ broadband facilities for unlawful purposes.
Telephones are provided in some of our cottages. Mobile phone reception is now generally good in the area, but there are still some areas with limited or no reception. Please check if this is important to you.
Cots and high chairs are available on request, at no extra charge. Our cots are folding travel cots, suitable for children up to 24 months. Please bring your own bedding for the cot. The high chair may or may not have a safety harness. We can provide a stair gate upon request.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at some properties, as indicated in the property description. We cannot accept responsibility for your pets safety, and they are accepted on the understanding that they are kept under control.
Pets are not allowed to be left alone unsupervised in a property during your stay and are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture, please bring your own pet bedding. Any fouling of lawns etc. or pet hair in the property, must be cleaned up before departure. Properties which accept pets do so on the condition that pets have been fully treated to protect them against parasites.
Although a property may specify pets are not acceptable, it may be possible that the owner’s own dog may have been in the property. Please ask if you have any concerns about this, specifically, for example, if anyone in your party is allergic to pets. We will be happy to clarify the position in more detail for you.
There is an additional charge of £25.00 per dog. Some property descriptions indicate an enclosed garden, but please note that this does not mean it is totally escape-proof.
If you have a special occasion and wish to go out without your dog, please contact us and we may be able to suggest a local approved pet sitting or dog walking service.
Most of our cottages are “listed” as being of historic or architectural interest. For this and other reasons none of them have been specifically adapted for use by disabled persons, but the descriptions of the cottages have been written so that we hope they give an indication as to what disabilities are compatible with the occupancy of each cottage. We can offer a shower stool and raised toilet seat on request at no extra charge. The shower stool is not suitable for use in a bath with overhead shower. We can provide an Access Statement if requested.
Part of the charm of older character properties are the characteristically low celings, doorways, beams and steep narrow winding staircases. These cottages could be over 100 years old and built before the advent of damp proof courses and insulation. Care is taken on inspection to take this into account, however some have a tendency to be damp and an occasional damp patch can become visible. Because of this, these cottages may not be suitable for anyone susceptible to a damp atmosphere. Please contact us for further information.
The property details aim to give you an accurate description of the property together with several photographs. If you have any doubt or if you have any specific requirements, please contact us and we will do our best to answer any questions to ensure you do not book a property which is unsuitable. Several properties have low ceilings, beams, doorways and winding stairs or uneven steps. Should you require further details regarding a property, its location or its suitability, please contact us – we will always be happy to give you more information. We cannot be held responsible should a property be booked, that is unsuitable or inappropriate.
All our cottages are cleaned thoroughly between bookings. Please leave the cottage tidy on your departure and if you move any furniture during your stay, please return it to its original position.
We can not accept responsibility for any items left behind in your accommodation after your holiday. We will endeavour to return items which have been left behind, and postage and packing will be charged for the return of left belongings. Any unclaimed items will be disposed of after 2 weeks.
Smoking is not permitted in the properties.
If you wish to change your booking at any time, we require confirmation in writing.
The breakage security payment can be paid by sending a cheque for £200.00, made payable to Corfe & Purbeck Holidays along with your balance payment. Alternatively, once you call to make the final payment, we can hold your payment card details securely on file. If you make the final payment by bank transfer, you can either pay the additional £200.00 breakage security payment, which will be refunded to you once you have vacated the cottage and it has been left clean and tidy, with no breakages or you can telephone 01929 480050 with your credit/debit card, which will be destroyed once you have vacated the cottage and it has been left clean and tidy, with no breakages.
